In March 2026, Aarnja Limited proudly co-hosted the inaugural 2026 Kimberley Aboriginal Clean Energy Forum in collaboration with Nulungu Research Institute and the First National Clean Energy Network.
The forum discussions were centred on the challenges of energy affordability and security that Kimberley Aboriginal people and communities experience; and how the planning and implementation of the energy transition needs to be informed and responsive to the needs of Kimberley Aboriginal communities, especially in remote areas.
Aarnja Ltd is now wanting to further consult with community members to codesign the set up of a Kimberley Aboriginal Clean Energy Alliance (KACEA). The primary purpose of KACEA will be to engage, inform and guide government, the utility, industry and other stakeholders involved in the energy transition on the needs of Kimberley Aboriginal communities.
